① Core and peel the apples. Save the peels. Grate the half of the apple and slice the other half into 2~3mm thin slices, about 1 to 1.5 cm in size. Peel the ginger and grate. Put them in a heat-resistant bowl.
② Add the sugar and lemon juice, then mix lightly. Add apple peels in the bowl and cover lightly with a plastic wrap. Heat in the microwave oven at 700W for 5 min.
③ Remove from the oven and stir well. Heat again at 700W for 4 min. without a plastic wrap. Cool.
④ When cool, remove the peels. Store in a jar sterilized by boiling.
