The following is the event information based on the year of 2024.
I came across “Snow Hut Bar,” namely a bar in the snow hut, when I visited the 26th Lake Towada Winter Story. Sounded interesting. I entered in the guise of an “inspection.”
I loved that sense of the extraordinary to drink in the snow hut, but also was moved by the fact that the drink was served in a cup made of apple.
The apple was frozen and used as an ice substitute. You can of course eat it after finishing the drink. You can have fun until the very last moment. As a matter of fact, I found a tiny hole in the cup resulting from scooping out too much. But I, a person of a tolerant heart, overlooked a little leaking. LOL
Although it may be a hard work to make such apple cups, I wish other ordinary bars and Japanese pubs in town would incorporate the idea of frozen apple cups.
The 28th Lake Towada Winter Story will be held from Friday, Jan. 30 to Monday, February 23, 2026.
