Since procyanidins and fiber are abundant in apple peels, I highly recommend to eat them with the whole skin. As procyanidin is easily affected by heat, we should consume apples fresh.
Apple is one of chewy fruits which promotes to have a hearty chew. By chewing well, people will feel full for longer time and this makes them have no willingness to eat more food. Here are some tips to use apples without peeling: add slices to salad; serve as a dessert. Chewing will prevent overeating and achieve a feeling of fullness.
One of nutrients you definitely should take while dieting is protein which is contained fully in fish and meat. Grated apples help digestive enzymes of protein. Eating grated apple after meal is effective to digest and to absorb protein of meat and fish, then helps your diet.
Since apples are low in energy, eating apples as snack is another way. Water-soluble dietary fiber absorbs water in the intestines and forms gel-like substance and moves slowly through the intestines. This process helps to maintain a fullness longer to prevent eating too many extra sweets and snacks.
